WISCONSIN HERD DEFEATED BY SIOUX FALLS SKYFORCE

The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, lost to the Sioux Falls Skyforce 142-96. The Herd grabbed the first lead of the game, but Sioux Falls was quick to overtake. The Skyforce went ahead in the first minute of the game and held on to the lead the whole game. The Herd battled to be within four points at the beginning of the second quarter but it wasn’t enough to overthrow the Skyforce.

Rob Edwards led the Herd with 30 of the teams’ 96 points. Lindell Wigginton followed with 18 points while Elijah Hughes and Iverson Molinar added 12 points each.

Orlando Robinson guided the Skyforce with 27 points and Dru Smith posted 26 points.

Rob Edwards started the game off strong scoring the Herd’s first four points. The Skyforce came back firing taking a 24-10 lead. The Herd battled back to come within nine points at the three-minute mark. The two teams traded baskets until Lindell Wigginton and Rob Edwards combined for four points to end the first quarter. The Skyforce led 35-25.

The Herd trimmed down the Sioux Falls’ lead to four points at the beginning of the second quarter. The Skyforce turned around to score 14 unanswered points going ahead 53-33. The Herd scored 10 points in three minutes to finish out the second quarter. The Skyforce was on top 73-43 at the half. Rob Edwards posted 16 points in the first half.

Lindell Wigginton and Rob Edwards combined for 17 of the Herd’s 25 in the third quarter. The Skyforce outscored the Herd 41-25 to go ahead 114-68 at the end of the third quarter.

The Skyforce continued their dominant control over the game and didn’t let up once in the fourth quarter. Elijah Hughes hit back-to-back baskets while Nate Roberts added two points in the first two minutes of the fourth quarter. The Herd continued its battle back, with Brandon Randolph leading the charge with eight points. Rob Edwards closed out the game with back-to-back baskets to bring his total points to 30 for the game. The Herd lost to the Sioux Falls Skyforce 142-96.

The Herd will battle the Skyforce again at the Sanford Pentagon on Tuesday, December 6 with tip-off set for 6:30 p.m. CST.
