Jerseys to bring attention to Homelessness Awareness Month

The Wisconsin Herd, NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, will partner with P.R.O.S. Sports Housing to wear homelessness awareness theme jerseys for the Herd’s home matchup against the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Tuesday, November 21 with tip-off at 6:00 p.m. CST. The game-worn theme jerseys will be auctioned off to benefit the P.I.T.C.H. Initiative, which works to widely impact communities by compassionately supporting people and organizations who need it most.

“We are excited to debut our homelessness awareness jerseys to bring attention to an important and often overlooked issue that affects many people within our community,” said Herd Team President Steve Brandes.

The jerseys were inspired by the Milwaukee Bucks’ 2019-20 City Edition jersey featuring a Cream City Brick color as well as a similar word mark. It also features a cracked mortar design to represent both the past and the future of families and individuals faced with homelessness. The bricks are to be seen as half decayed/half rebuilt to represent both what once was, and the life of what could be for those struggling with homelessness.

These jerseys will be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting the P.I.T.C.H. Initiative at the game on November 21 and online at https://herdup.givesmart.com starting now until November 28 at 12:00 p.m. CST.
