Healthy Teen Minds will be featured during the School Day Game as the “Nonprofit of the Night” presented by Bayland Buildings, Inc. Healthy Teen Minds works to improve the mental health of teens in the tri-county region of Outagamie, Calumet and Winnebago counties. The goal of the organization is to reduce the rate of depression among teens by implementing strategies that focus on prevention, promoting resiliency and coping skills among youth, and interventions for struggling teens. The group will also lead all students through an educational presentation at halftime reinforcing the importance of mental health.
During the game, there will be a teacher free-throw contest and dance-off, student recognition for academic achievements, and lots of Herd giveaways. Winning teachers will receive a financial donation from BMO to benefit their respective school.
