WISCONSIN HERD STOPPED BY WOLVES

Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, lost to the Iowa Wolves 118-102. The Herd started the game strong developing a lead of 29-27 at the end of the first quarter. The Wolves went ahead in the second quarter and held on to the lead till the end. The Herd shot 42.4% from the field while the Wolves shot 51.7%.

The Herd was led by A.J. Green for the second game in a row with 23 points and six rebounds. Sandro Mamukelashvili added a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Luka Garza was on top for the Iowa Wolves with 30 points followed by Emmanuel Mudiay with 25 points.

The Herd stormed ahead at the beginning of the game 4-0. The Wolves charged back to score nine unanswered points. The Herd powered through going on a 6-0 run at the end of the third quarter. Wisconsin led 29-27 at the end of the first quarter.

The two teams traded baskets resulting in three lead changes. The Wolves ran away with nine points to go ahead 45-37 at the seven-minute mark. The Herd fought back to come within three, but the Iowa Wolves remained in charge. The Wolves pushed ahead 59-54 at the end of the first half. A.J. Green led the Herd with 11 points and four rebounds.

The Wolves opened the third quarter and increased the lead to 10 points. The Herd answered with back-to-back threes from Jordan Bone and Jontay Porter cutting down the Wolves’ forefront. The Wolves built up its score, but A.J. Green scored four points to put the Herd within five points. Iowa took control of the game going back up by 10 points. Sandro Mamukelashvili ended the quarter scoring 20 straight points to bring the Herd down by nine. The Wolves led 93-84 at the end of the third quarter.

Iowa started the fourth quarter hot gaining a lead of 99-84. A.J. Green and Jordan Bone combined for nine points to bring the score to Iowa Wolves up 103-93. Iowa Wolves answered with a 9-0 run.

The Herd will play next in the second game of the back-to-back series on Sunday, Nov. 20 with tip-off set for 3:30 p.m. CST.
