OSHKOSH, Wis. (January 21, 2022) – The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, have partnered with United Airlines to raise money for Special Olympics Wisconsin. The Herd will wear exclusive themed jerseys to celebrate the Wisconsin Flyers on Sunday, January 23 when they host the College Park Skyhawks at Oshkosh Arena with tip-off set for 2:30 p.m.
These unique jerseys are an homage to the Wisconsin Flyers basketball team that was a part of the Continental Basketball Association in the 1980s’. The Flyers played all their home games in Oshkosh from 1982-1987 until they were relocated to Minnesota.
The jerseys worn during the game will be auctioned off at herd.cbo.io. Fans can bid now until Monday, January 31 at noon. Proceeds will benefit Special Olympics Wisconsin, which helps individuals with intellectual disabilities become accepted and valued members of their communities through sports.
