WISCONSIN HERD MAKES TWO SELECTIONS IN 2021 NBA G LEAGUE DRAFT

OSHKOSH, Wis. (Oct. 23, 2021) – The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, selected Keaton Wallace with the 37th overall pick and Jaylen Bland with the 65th overall pick in today’s 2021 NBA G League Draft. The Herd then traded Wallace to the Agua Caliente Clippers in exchange for a 2022 second round draft pick.

Bland, a 6-3 guard, has spent the last three seasons playing internationally in Canada, Mexico and Luxembourg. Most recently, the UC Riverside product appeared in 21 games (all starts) with the Sudbury Five of the National Basketball League of Canada during the 2019-20 season where he averaged 24.2 points, 6.1 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game and was named to the All-Canada NBL Second Team. In his first season in the Canada NBL in 2018-19, Bland was named the league’s Newcomer of the Year.

Wisconsin’s 2021-22 season gets underway this Monday with training camp before playing its first game on Monday, Nov. 8, at Oshkosh Arena against the Cleveland Charge. Single-game tickets for the 2021-22 season will also go on sale this Monday, Oct. 25, at www.wisconsinherd.com.
