WISCONSIN HERD FALLS TO CLEVELAND CHARGE

The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, lost to the Cleveland Charge 112-103. Throughout the game, the two teams had 11 lead changes. The Herd was on top in the first quarter and was down by seven points at the half but a dominant third quarter for the Charge put them ahead by 15 points. The Herd battled back to come within nine points in the third quarter, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win.

Elijah Hughes led the Herd with 20 points while Joe Wieskamp and Jordan Bone added 18 points each.

Isaiah Mobley led all teams with 26 points and 13 rebounds, followed by Sharife Cooper with 25 points.

Jordan Bone hit a jump shot to put the Herd on the board to start the game. The two teams traded the lead eight times before the Herd went up by 3 with five minutes remaining. The Charge battled back within one, but Elijah Hughes made a three-point shot to put the Herd up by four. Jontay Porter added to the lead with a jump shot putting the Herd up by six. The Herd was on top at the end of the first quarter 34-26. Elijah Hughes posted 12 points in the first quarter.

The Herd continued to climb, going up 43-37 at the eight-minute mark. The Charge came back to take the lead 44-43. The two teams went back and forth before the Charge went up by five points. The Charge held on to be up at half 58-51. Jordan Bone tallied 12 points each in the first half.

Joe Wieskamp hit his second three of the game to open the first half. The Charge went on a 10-4 run to go up by 12 points with 10 minutes remaining in the third quarter. The Charge went up by 20 points. The Herd came back with nine unanswered points to come within 13. The Charge led 90-75 at the end of the third quarter.

The Herd opened the fourth quarter cutting down the Charge’s lead to nine points. The Charge turned around to go up by 14 with five minutes left. The Herd battled back to be within nine points with one minute left, but the Charge held on to win 112-103.
