WISCONSIN HERD DROPS SECOND GAME IN BACK-TO-BACK SERIES AGAINST THE IOWA WOLVES

Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, lost to the Iowa Wolves 119-102. The Herd controlled the game for the first three quarters, but Iowa’s defense kept the Herd to 14 points in the fourth quarter. The Herd missed three of the teams' starters with Joe Wieskamp, Elijah Hughes, and Jordan Bone out due to injury.

Jontay Porter led the Herd with a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds. Lindell Wigginton added 15 points and seven assists. Nate Roberts appeared in his first game for the Herd posting five points.

Luka Garza scored 30 points for the second night in a row. Josh Minott followed with 17 points.

Jontay Porter opened the game for the Herd scoring a layup. Brandon Randolph continued the momentum scoring six consecutive points.  The two teams went back and forth tying the game four times until the Wolves went ahead 13-10. The Herd answered with a 6-0 run to take charge of the game 16-13. Iowa was able to counter the Herd’s attacks going up 19-18 at the four-minute mark. Wigginton, Molinar and Porter combined for seven points to go up 31-29 at the end of the first quarter.

The Wolves tied the game 31-31 to start the second quarter. Iowa controlled the game until the Herd charged back grabbing a 52-46 lead. The Herd remained ahead till the end of the second quarter 64-59. Lindell Wigginton led the Herd with 11 points and five assists.

The Herd pushed ahead to a 10-point lead at the beginning of the third quarter. The Wolves fought to come within five points, but the Herd remained in control. At the end of the third quarter, the Wolves went on a 13-0 run to take the lead. Iverson Molinar hit a free throw and put the Herd in front 88-87.

The Wolves took a fast lead in the fourth quarter, but the Herd was quick to answer. The two teams traded the lead five times before the Wolves scored 11 points. A.J. Green ended Iowa's run with a made jump shot. The Herd fought back but it wasn’t enough to take the lead. Lindell Wigginton ended the game with two made free throws. The Iowa Wolves won 119-102.

The Herd will play next at home against the Sioux Falls Skyforce on Saturday, November 26 with tip-off set for 7:00 p.m. CST.
