WISCONSIN HERD BLOWS AWAY WINDY CITY

Herd continues undefeated streak 6-0

OSHKOSH, WIS (Nov. 29, 2021) – The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, beat the Windy City Bulls 124-116. An offensive surge in the fourth quarter led by Jordan Nwora and Sandro Mamukelashvili propelled the Herd to collect their sixth win of the showcase season. At the end of the third quarter, the Bulls led 86-76. The Herd went on a 48-30 run in the fourth quarter to win the game 124-116.

Sandro Mamukelashvili, a two-way player with the Milwaukee Bucks, led the team in the fourth quarter with 19 of his 28 points. Mamukelashvili led the Herd with 28 points and 6 rebounds. Jordan Nwora, an assignment player with the Milwaukee Bucks, exploded in the fourth quarter scoring 18 of his 22 points. Nwora, in his first game with the Herd, followed Mamukelashvili with 22 points and 3 rebounds.

Jemerrio Jones led the team in rebounds with 13. Sam Cunliffe, Javin Delaurier, and Terry Larrier did not play tonight due to the coach’s decision.

The Windy City Bulls were led by Tyler Cook with 30 points, scoring 15 in the third quarter. Cook was followed by Bryce Alford with 20 points and 4 rebounds.

The Herd repeated their big comeback wins by fighting back from being down 12. The Bulls led at the first quarter 32-27, at half 53-46, and at the third quarter 86-76. There were four lead changes and 3 times tied in the first half.

The offensive surge started in the third quarter with Tremont Waters scoring eight of his 14 points and Lindell Wigginton scoring seven of his 10 points.

Jalen Lecque also helped lead the third-quarter offensive surge with six points. Lecque led the Wisconsin Herd in scoring at the first quarter with five points, at the half with eight, and third quarter with 14. Herd went 38.1% for field goals and 23.5% for three-pointers in the first half but improved to 55.1% in field goals and 44.1% in three-pointers at the end of the game.

The Wisconsin Herd will play again on Wednesday night against the Windy City Bulls at home with tip-off at 7 p.m.
