WISCONSIN HERD ANNOUNCES 2023-24 SCHEDULE

The Wisconsin Herd, NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, will host its first 2023-24 season home game on Thursday, Nov. 16 against the Iowa Wolves at 6 p.m. CT. Prior to the home opener, the Herd will tip off the 2023-24 season on the road against the Cleveland Charge at 7 p.m. CT on Friday, Nov. 10.

Wisconsin will take on the Mexico City Capitanes and the Rip City Remix for the first time in Herd History this season. The Herd will travel to Mexico on Jan. 12 and 13 to take on the Mexico City Capitanes. At home, the Herd will face the Rip City Remix in their inaugural season on Feb. 22 and 24. The Herd will play 13 of its 24 home games on the weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday), with 13 different opponents set to play in Oshkosh this season.

Home games will tip-off at 6 p.m. CT on weekdays (Monday-Thursday) and 7 p.m. CT on weekends (Friday and Saturday) except for Sunday, Nov. 19, 2023, vs. Sioux Falls Skyforce at 5:30 p.m. CT and the Herd’s School Day Matinee presented by BMO on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024, vs. College Park at 11:30 a.m. CT.

The 2023-24 NBA G League schedule will consist of a 14-game Showcase Cup from Nov. 10 to Dec. 17, culminating with at least two games taking place at the NBA G League Winter Showcase Tournament from Dec. 19-22. Following the Winter Showcase, all teams will start a 34-game regular season which will bring the season total to 50 games.  The regular season will start on Dec. 27 and conclude on Mar. 30, with the playoffs following shortly after.

The Showcase Cup will feature all NBA G League teams separated into four regional pods. The teams with the best winning percentage in each regional pod and the four teams with the next-best winning percentage across the league will go on to play for the Showcase Cup Championship during the NBA G League Winter Showcase. Teams that do not qualify for the Showcase Cup tournament will still play two additional games during the NBA G League Winter Showcase.

Following the Showcase Cup, all team records will reset, and beginning Dec. 27 teams will play a traditional 34-game regular season. The top six teams of each conference, based on winning percentage from the regular season, will qualify for the NBA G League playoffs.

Overall, Wisconsin will play seven games in November, 11 games in December, 13 games in January, eight games in February and 11 games in March this season. The Herd’s full 2023-24 season schedule is attached. The tv32 broadcast schedule for the 2023-24 season will be announced at a later date.
