Wisconsin Herd Announces 2021-22 Assistant Coaching Staff

OSHKOSH, Wis. (Nov. 3, 2021) – The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, has has named Dennis Cutts, John Little and Jack Herum as Assistant Coaches on Head Coach Chaisson Allen’s coaching staff ahead of the 2021-22 NBA G League season. Assistant Coach Cutts rejoins the Herd after having been an assistant coach during the 2019-20 Herd season. Prior to joining the Herd in the summer of 2019, he served as the head coach of UC Riverside, a position he held for three and a half seasons from 2014-18, after serving as interim head coach for the Highlanders in 2013-14. In the 2014-15 season, he was a finalist for the Joe B. Hall National Coach of the Year award which is an annual honor given to the top first-year coach in Division I basketball.

Cutts has more than 25 years of coaching experience at the Division 1 level, was an assistant coach for UC Riverside for six seasons. He has also held positions at Kansas State, San Jose State, Northern Arizona, Stephen F. Austin, Northland Pioneer College and Pima Community College throughout his coaching career.

Coach Little rejoins the Herd after having been an assistant coach during the 2019-20 season. Prior to joining the Herd, he worked at his alma mater, Northern Iowa, as the video coordinator for the men’s basketball team. Before joining the coaching ranks, he played professionally in Germany for 10 years. While overseas, Little served as a team captain for multiple years and was part of the 2016 FIBA EuroCup championship squad. He also helped claim the 2010 Euro Challenge title. Little also served as a graduate assistant with the Panthers after graduating from Northern Iowa.

Jack Herum has been promoted to an assistant coach for the Wisconsin Herd. Coach Herum spent the 2020-21 season in the Milwaukee Bucks video room assisting the Bucks coaching staff with player development, scouting, game prep, and special projects. During the 2019-20 season, Herum was a Player Development Assistant for the Herd. He was a member of the DII Minnesota-Duluth Men’s basketball program followed by a season at the world renowned IMG Academy.
