The Wisconsin Herd, NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, will partner with BMO to create specialty art-themed jerseys featuring artwork from five local students. The jerseys will be worn by the Herd during the game on Monday, January 22 against the Birmingham Squadron with tipoff set for 6:00 p.m. CT. The game-worn jerseys will be auctioned online to benefit the Oshkosh Kids Foundation, which works to help children and families struggling to find stable housing, resources, and a self-sufficient life.
“We are committed to helping create a community for all of us where no child or family is burdened by the uncertainty of unstable living conditions or lack of essential resources,” said Anthony Hudson, Regional President, Wisconsin, BMO. “Through a combination of art, sports, and compassion, we can create not only an unforgettable experience on the court but also meaningful progress for those in need.”
The Herd set a record for involvement in this year’s event with over 4,400 students from more than 30 schools participating, doubling the number from last year. Students were asked to draw what the Wisconsin Herd meant to them, and a panel of team members and BMO staff picked five winning submissions to feature on the specialty-themed jerseys.
The winners of the competition are from Adams Friendship Middle, Hilbert Elementary, Campbellsport High, Ripon High and Oakfield Elementary. Each winner will receive a personalized jersey and will be acknowledged at the Wisconsin Herd game on Monday, January 22.
Fans can bid on the jerseys online at https://herdarttheme.givesmart.com and at the game on Monday, January 22. The auction is open now until Monday, January 29 at noon CT. Proceeds will benefit the Oshkosh Kids Foundation.
