WISCONSIN HERD ACQUIRES 2019-20 NBA G LEAGUE MVP FRANK MASON lll

OSHKOSH, Wis. (February 24, 2022)- The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, has acquired Frank Mason III and a 1st round pick in the 2022 NBA G League Draft from the South Bay Lakers in exchange for Tremont Waters and a 2nd round pick (via Agua Caliente) in the 2022 NBA G League draft.

Frank Mason III (5-11, 190) played under a two-way contract with the Wisconsin Herd and the Milwaukee Bucks during the 2019-20 season and earned NBA G League Most Valuable Player for 2019-20. Mason averaged an NBA G League-high 26.4 points, 5.0 assists and 3.4 rebounds in 23 games with the Herd. Mason led the Herd to a league’s best record 33-10. This regular season, Mason has appeared in seven games for the South Bay Lakers averaging 9.1 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists in 22.8 minutes. Mason also has spent time with NBA teams including Sacramento Kings, Milwaukee Bucks and Orlando Magic.

Tremont Waters appeared in 14 games for the Herd averaging 15.4 points, 2.5 rebounds and 6.9 assists in 33.0 minutes.

The Herd will host the Westchester Knicks on February 24th with tip-off set for 7:00 p.m. CST.
