WISCONSIN HERD ACQUIRE RETURNING PLAYER RIGHTS TO KYLER EDWARDS AND JAIME ECHENIQUE

The Wisconsin Herd, NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, have acquired the returning player rights to Kyler Edwards and Jaime Echenique from the Motor City Cruise in exchange for the returning player rights to Jontay Porter.

Kyler Edwards, 6-4, 205-pound guard appeared in 41 games for the Cruise during his rookie season averaging 11.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists. The Texas-native started his college career at Texas Tech (2018-21) and later joined the University of Houston (2021-22) where he averaged 13.7 points and 5.9 rebounds in his senior season.

Jaime Echenique, 6-10, 258-pound center appeared in 13 games for the Cruise averaging 13.3 points and 7.6 rebounds in the 2022-23 season. Prior to joining the Cruise, the Colombian-native played for the Capital City Go-Go during the 2022-23 and 2021-22 seasons. On December 30, 2021 Echenique signed a 10-day contract with the Washington Wizards. On the same day, he made his NBA debut and became the first-ever Colombian to play in the NBA.
