HERD SUFFERS LOSS AT HOME

The Wisconsin Herd, NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, lost to the Windy City Bulls 123-96. Drew Timme led the Herd with a double-double of a career-high 30 points and 10 rebounds while shooting 11 for 12 in field goals. Wenyen Gabriel followed with 18 points. The Windy City Bulls were led by Dalen Terry with 22 points while Adama Sanogo added 20 points.
Elijah Hughes got the game started by scoring four of the first six points for the Herd. The Bulls quickly answered to go ahead 12-6 at the seven-minute mark. Wenyen Gabriel responded with a three-point play. Jazian Gortman added back-to-back shots before the Bulls climbed to an eight-point lead. Windy City didn’t let up the rest of the quarter, outscoring the Herd 13-2 to take a 34 -20 advantage at the end of the first quarter.
Wenyen Gabriel hit the first basket of the second quarter to bring the Herd within 12. Drew Timme hit the next 9 of 11 points for the Herd. Kihei Clark added a jump shot to bring the Herd within 10 points. The Bulls responded by going up 52-39 with five minutes remaining. Sam Peek and Drew Timme combined for six points to close out the second quarter. The Bulls led 60 – 45 at half with Drew Timme leading the Herd with 13 points.
Windy City opened the third quarter with two straight baskets to bring the lead to 20. Wenyen Gabriel hit the next eight points to put the Herd at 55. The Herd continued with the momentum scoring six straight points to come within 11 points. The Bulls responded with a 12-5 run. Drew Timme converted a free throw to bring the Herd out of a two-minute scoring drought. Kihei Clark and Drew Timme scored a basket each before the end of the third quarter. Windy City held a 93 – 71 advantage.
The Bulls charged ahead to a 106-75 edge after outscoring the Herd 13-4 to open the fourth quarter. The Herd rallied with nine straight points and eventually cut the lead to 20 at the five-minute mark. Wisconsin entered a dry spell for two minutes before Drew Timme converted a pair of free throws. The two teams closed out the game with six points each in the last minutes. The Windy City Bulls won 123-96.
The Herd will rematch the Windy City Bulls on Saturday, December 9 with tip-off set for 5:00 p.m. CST.
