Hannah Willard joined the Herd as the Entertainment Coordinator in November of 2021. In her role, Willard leads all aspects of the team’s mascot program and collaborates closely with performers to ensure the mascot is represented professionally and appropriately. She works to include Pointer in 150-200 community appearances a year as well as all Herd home games. Willard also assists the Marketing & Digital Manager in maintaining the mascot’s website and all social media outlets including Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok.
Willard started her sports career as a student intern in the Texas Athletics Marketing Department at the University of Texas. Willard then worked for the Round Rock Express promotions team for four seasons and interned with the San Antonio Spurs and its NBA G League Affiliate, the Austin Spurs.
Willard grew up in Austin, Texas, and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Science in Advertising.
