Title: Manager of Marketing and Digital
Andrew Dowdy has been with the Wisconsin Herd since the end of the 2022-23 season. He comes here from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Athletics Department, and from the Kansas City area. He's truly excited about energizing Herd fans and utilizing social media to increase the Herd's exposure, all to support our partners and city.
Prior to working with the Herd, Andrew completed multiple internships with the Big 12 Conference, Minor League Baseball, and soccer camp companies. He started with the Kansas City Monarchs in their inaugural 2018 season, joined Challenger Sports in 2019, followed by working with the Big 12 Conference in 2020, then heading back to the Kansas City Monarchs for my final season during the summer of 2021.
Andrew also has experience in college athletics, notably as the Head Producer for the Huskers Radio Network from 2021 to 2023. In this role, he skillfully managed the operational aspects of various sports, including Husker Football, Volleyball, Baseball, Softball, Men's and Women's Basketball. Andrew's contributions extended beyond the broadcast, as he also played a role in television and social media production. Andrew ran all Husker Football, Volleyball, Baseball, Softball, along with Men's and Women's Basketball operations.
Andrew graduated from Baker University in Baldwin City, Kansas, in 2021 with his Bachelor's of Science degree in Sports Administration and Business Marketing. He also played college soccer for 4 years as an outside defender and an outside midfielder. Andrew's favorite memories were making it to the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 both his Sophomore and Junior year. In his free time, Andrew loves to golf, hike, swim, and play recreational soccer competitively.
