Dr. Tommie Smith - USA Sprinter

Dr. Tommie Smith won the gold medal for the 200-meter sprint at the 1968 Olympics.

While on the podiums to receive his medal, Smith raised his fist in the air to protest racism and injustice to African Americans. This became a symbol for the black power movement.
