Each season the Wisconsin Herd hosts multiple charity basketball games between the Police Departments (badges) and the Fire Departments (Boots) of different cities near Oshkosh. This unique event showcases local heroes, provides community and entertainment for the branches and their friends/families and raises money for each department. Last year the Appleton Police Department faced the Appleton Fire Department and the Winnebago County Sheriff's Office faced the Oshkosh Fire Department.
