HERD LOSES TO CELTICS

OSHKOSH, Wis. (March 13, 2022) – The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, lost to the Maine Celtics 125-103. The Herd led the first minutes of the game before the Celtics took the lead going up 34-22 at the end of the first quarter. The Herd battled back to come within five points in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to take the lead. The Celtics stayed up to win the game 125-103.

Rayjon Tucker led the Herd with 22 points while Frank Mason III added 15 points. Javin DeLaurier posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Chris Clemons led the Herd with 41 points followed by Isaiah Cousins and Brodric Thomas with 21 points each.

The Herd took an early lead going up 7-3 with ten and a half minutes left in the first quarter. The Celtics came back to go up 9-7. The Herd took the lead 11-9 but the Celtics answered with a three to go ahead. The Celtics continued to build their lead going up 22-11. The Herd came within six points, but the Celtics held on to go up 34-22 at the end of the first quarter.

Terry Larrier converted a free throw to put the Herd within five points with nine minutes remaining in the second quarter. The Herd came within one point, but the Celtics held on to go ahead 44-37. The Celtics led 59-49 with three minutes remaining in the first half. The Celtics held on to lead 68-57 at end of the half. Javin DeLaurier led the Herd with 12 points in the first half.

The Celtics led 82-71 with three and a half minutes remaining in the third quarter. The Herd scored six unanswered points to come within eight at the end of the third quarter. The Celtics led 87-79.

Frank Mason III hit a three to put the Herd within five points at the beginning of the fourth quarter. The Celtics scored 10 unanswered points to go ahead 97-82. The Celtics led 111-92 with four minutes left in the game. The Celtics led 120-100 with one minute left. The Celtics won 125-103.

The Herd will hit the road to take on the College Park Skyhawks on March 16 with tip-off set for 6:00 p.m. CST.
