HERD DROPS TO RAPTORS 905

Oshkosh, Wis. (March 23, 2022) – The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, lost to the Raptors 130-115. The two teams stayed close in the first half resulting in 10 lead changes and nine times tied. The Herd led 63-62 at halftime. The 905 outscored the Herd 36-19 to take a lead 98-82 at the end of the third quarter. The Raptors held on to win 130-115.

Sandro Mamukelashvili led the Herd with a double-double of 30 points and a career-high 20 rebounds. Rayjon Tucker followed with 27 points and eight rebounds.

Breein Tyree and Aaron Best led Raptors 905 with 24 points each.

Lindell Wigginton hit a three to put the Herd in the lead at the beginning of the game. The Raptors tied the game at 10-10 with eight minutes remaining in the first quarter. The Raptors went ahead but the Herd tied the game again 14-14. The Herd took the lead going up 18-16 with five and a half minutes left. The Raptors went ahead again going up 32-31 at the end of the first quarter.

Rayjon Tucker converted a free throw to put the Herd up 35-34 but the Raptors answered to take the lead again 37-35 in the second quarter. The two teams went back and forth before the Raptors built a lead of six. The Herd went on a 9-0 run to tie the game 56-56 with three minutes left. The two teams traded baskets resulting in two lead changes and two times tied. Sandro Mamukelashvili led the Herd with 15 points in the first half.

There were three lead changes to start the third quarter. The Raptors went ahead going up by 10 with five and a half minutes left. The Raptors continued to build their lead going up 98-82 at the end of the third quarter.

The Herd scored nine unanswered points to come within 11 with six and a half minutes left in the fourth quarter. The Raptors led 122-104 with three and a half minutes left and held on to win the game 130-115.

The Herd will host the Raptors 905 again on Friday, March 25 with tip-off set for 7:00 p.m. CST.
