Wisconsin Herd Acquires Alex Marzette

The Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, today acquired Alex Marzette off waivers.

Marzette, 24, most recently played with Joensuun Kataja in Finland. He appeared in 14 games (10 starts), averaging 10.0 points and 3.4 rebounds in 21.8 minutes per game. The 6-5, 185-pound guard spent the 2016-17 season with CAB Madeira in the Portuguese LPB. In 36 games (all starts), Marzette averaged 16.7 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals per game.

The Wisconsin native played at Case High School in Racine, Wis., where he was named to the All-Southeast Conference team as a senior in 2011. Marzette spent his senior collegiate season at Robert Morris in Chicago where he led the team in scoring (18.1), rebounding (7.1), blocks (2.3) and steals (1.8) per game.

Marzette will be in uniform for the tonight’s game against the Maine Red Claws. He will wear No. 25 for Wisconsin. The action tips off at 6 p.m. CT on Eleven Sports and can be heard on The Score (99.1 FM in Oshkosh and 95.3 FM in the Fox Valley). Fans also can join the Herd front office staff at Fox River Brewing Company in Oshkosh to watch the match-up.

The Herd returns to Oshkosh for the final two games of the 2017-18 regular season on Wednesday, March 21.
